Job Summary:
SmithRx is developing the next-generation modern pharmacy benefits management (PBM) platform that will change how companies administer and manage pharmacy benefits. Our unified technology platform provides real-time actionable insights that drives cost savings, powers clinical services and results in a brillant customer experience. A unified technology platform exists nowhere in the pharmacy benefit ecosystem to programmatically solve widespread deficiencies. The result is a PBM delivering unmatched service quality and operational efficiency that exceeds all industry standards.
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Senior DevOps Manager who will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth deployment, operation, and scaling of software applications and systems. A successful candidate will bring a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership, and strategic planning to our growing organization.
What you will do:
Strategic Leadership: Lead the DevOps team and collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with the organization's goals. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated deployment of applications and services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Promote and implement IaC practices to manage and provision infrastructure through code, improving scalability, and ensuring environment consistency. Experience with Terraform is a plus.
Tool and Technology Management: Evaluate, select, and manage tools and technologies to automate software development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure provisioning processes.
Monitoring and Reliability: Oversee the implementation of monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of applications and services. Address and mitigate any reliability issues.
Security and Compliance: Work closely with the security team to ensure DevOps practices meet compliance and security requirements. Implement security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the DevOps team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with software and service vendors ensure they meet the organization's standards and contribute effectively to the DevOps strategy.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of demonstrated expertise in DevOps practices, including experience with automation, CI/CD, IaC,monitoring Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven people leadership experience with 5+ years managing DevOps teams.
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies especially AWS
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Solid background in network, security, and database management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive innovation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
