The Senior Marketing Science Analyst acts as a trusted advisor for Flipp business development and product teams, in support of Retail, Brand, and Media partners. They will leverage data & insights to maximize demonstrated business results, derive insight using data, and use insights to formulate business actions and strategy, and communicate and coordinate testing and measurement plans with Flipp account teams to drive external Retailer/Brand/Media Partner alignment to drive business forward. 

What you'll get the opportunity to do:

  • Analytical Solution Building 
  1. Test design (A/B, incremental lift etc.), setup, execution & analysis. Including the communication and follow-up of results to internal & external clients. 
  2. Advise on data inputs for various measurement tactics and development of submissions.
  3. Analysis of historical data to understand trends in performance
  4. Investigation of anomalies, and root cause analysis, to provide explanations to internal & external teams. Driving explanation and corrective action if needed
  5. Serve as Flipp’s internal stakeholder to the product and data science/engineering team to define data product requirements
  • Technical 
  1. Advanced in data extraction, manipulation and aggregation using a full suite of data tools to gain access and complete complex analysis of both structured and unstructured data
  2. Manage enterprise-level systems or large data sets for insight generation and analysis
  • Consultancy / Advisory
  1. Integrate analytics and research into output
  2. Execution and delivery against project timelines ie. data validation, analysis, and results
  3. Stakeholder engagement: understand business and technical requirements, translate findings across internal groups ie. sales, sr analysts, product, partner technology
  4. Using strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex business and analytical concepts to Flipp team members, including senior sales team and product team members
  5. Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights, and insight into actionable recommendations

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 2-3 years of experience managing projects cross-functionally, with applied analytics towards business problems
  • Advanced technical knowledge in data extraction and analysis - SQL, Scala. Python
  • Understanding of Retail, CPG, loyalty and consumer analysis
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing internal stakeholders
