Senior Operations Manager

We are looking for a mission-driven, hard-working team member who is passionate about making mental health more affordable and is excited by the entrepreneurial challenges of growing an excellent operations team. 

As a Senior Manager you will manage a core operations team while using business insights to design and drive strategic change. You will partner closely with Operations leadership to implement efficiencies in how your team supports in-network mental health care, eliminate workflow pain points, and deliver innovative insights to drive future scale. You will interact regularly with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, Customer Success, Business Intelligence, and Payer Partnerships.

The ideal candidate has a bias towards action, a strong sense of ownership, thrives in ambiguous situations, and enjoys driving cross-functional projects through to completion.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage a core operations team including up to 4 direct reports and a subsequent team of 20 - 40 remote employees, unblocking the team in day-to-day escalations
  • Work alongside Operations leadership to identify operational bottlenecks and trends, using data and analytics to prioritize work, design process changes, and optimize existing workflows for continued hyper-growth and scale.
  • Partner with Product to design Alma’s workflows and technology roadmap, setting operations up for success at scale and streamlining the insurance process for members and their clients
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence, CX Strategy and other Core Ops teams to analyze and measure the operational impact of our tools, processes, and product launches on Core Ops KPIs (e.g. claims turnaround time, Claims A/R, team productivity) and work cross-functionally to identify areas of improvement— continually track and report on improvements overtime and report outcomes to stakeholders across the business
  • Support forecasting and planning to hire and recruit the right team members at the right time. 

Who you are:

  • 5-6 years work experience in an Operations role - ideally in the start up, healthcare implementation, or healthcare consulting space
  • Relentlessly organized with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional project management skills
  • Highly resourceful and efficient at analyzing data and business trends to drive operational process design, improvements, and execution
  • Proven experience managing a team or cross functional stakeholders
  • Team player who can roll up their sleeves to support the team creatively while balancing the management of other projects through ruthless prioritization 
  • Exceptional communication skills that can flex to translate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders

Salary Band: $125,000 - $155,000
