At Scribd (pronounced “scribbed”), we believe reading is more important than ever. Join our cast of characters as we work to change the way the world reads by building the world’s largest and most fascinating digital library: giving subscribers access to a growing collection of ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, documents, Scribd Originals, and more. In addition to works from major publishers and top authors, our community includes over 1.9 M subscribers in nearly every country worldwide.

Have you heard about our future of work program, Scribd Flex? As a key principle, we embrace flexibility and allow employees, in partnership with their manager, to choose the work-style that best suits their individual needs and preferences. And, we create intentional in-person moments with each other that build culture and connection.

Scribd’s BSA team helps the company make data-centered decisions. In your role, you’ll be a central thought partner to our Customer Business Systems team, responsible for designing and implementing testing strategies, measuring outcomes, and making recommendations to reduce fraud exposure, chargebacks and transaction costs. Your recommendations will be central to guiding our team to grow revenue and increase the quality of the user experience

You Will:

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to define key metrics and goals for product features and experiments.

• Design and implement experiments, including A/B tests, to evaluate the impact of product changes on key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive actionable insights and identify areas of improvement for our product offerings.

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track and communicate key product metrics and performance trends to stakeholders.

• Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand user behavior, conversion funnels, and customer segmentation to uncover opportunities for growth and optimization.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations, influencing product decisions and roadmaps.

• Mentor and guide junior analysts, sharing your expertise in statistics, data analysis, and product analytics best practices.

You Have:

• Proven experience (5+ years) in product analytics, preferably in a high-velocity product environment, with a track record of delivering impactful insights and driving growth.

• Expert knowledge of statistical analysis methods, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.

• Experience with A/B testing methodologies, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and other advanced analytics techniques.

• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar tools to share clear insights with stakeholders.

• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all analyses.

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is a plus.

• Experience analyzing fraud incidences, chargeback frequency, transactions costs, or other ecommerce payments related issues a plus
