We are seeking a fully remote Senior Product Designer with a high sense of ownership and responsibility, an inclusive mindset, and who communicates clearly.

As a Senior Product Designer at Codility, you'll be part of a dynamic, autonomous product development team where your creativity and strategic thinking can truly shine.

We believe the best ideas come from those who are closest to the work, which is why we place emphasis on high levels of autonomy and accountability for our teams, clear goals and objectives, working cross-functionally, treating one another with trust and respect, and providing supportive leadership for the whole journey. Empowered teams are a cornerstone of how we approach product development, where rapid iteration, responsiveness to change, and customer-centricity are paramount.

You’ll be embedded within a product trio, alongside the product manager and engineering manager, supported by a team of skilled software engineers and assessment scientists to deliver the most significant value and best user experience.

What you will do.

  • Drive the end-to-end design process: Take ownership of the design process from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring a user-centered approach at every stage.
  • Contribute to the design system: Work with our design system to ensure consistency while helping to improve and expand our component library. Serve as a primary domain expert in Codility product design. Foster a collaborative and inclusive design culture by providing feedback, coaching, guidance, and mentorship to other designers.
  • Conduct design reviews and iterate: Facilitate design reviews and gather feedback from the team, incorporating their insights to refine and iterate on design solutions.
  • Conduct user research and gather insights: Conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gain a deep understanding of user needs, pain points, and behavior. Translate research findings into actionable design improvements.
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing designs: Apply your expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design to create intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces. Produce high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications that effectively communicate your design concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work within an autonomous team led by a product trio (designer, product manager, and engineering manager) to ensure seamless collaboration and effective execution of design projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale. Highly proficient in writing UX copy in English.

We would love it if you have.

  • Extensive experience in product design: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a designer in a product development team, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes across various platforms and industries. Preference for experience in SaaS, B2B; engineer-facing products a plus.
  • Proficiency in design tools: Proficient in industry-standard design tools such as Figma and prototyping tools.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles: Demonstrated expertise in user-centered design methodologies, user research, interaction design, and information architecture. Ability to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Strategic mindset: Strong strategic thinking abilities with the capacity to contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions. Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to inform design decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex design challenges, identify key issues, and propose innovative design solutions. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.
  • Continuous learning mindset: Strong passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Ability to adapt quickly to evolving design processes and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies. Share your knowledge and insights with the team, advocating for best practices and innovative design solutions.

Please keep this in mind.
