Senior Product Designer

Posted Feb 15

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a vital role in the product development process by translating user and business needs into intuitive, functional, and beautiful design solutions.

You will join our Design team, including Aleksandra, Lead Product Designer, and Damyan, UX/UI Designer, and as part of the Product team, you will collaborate with other product managers, product specialists, technical writers, and software engineers.

At Neptune, we have quite an ambitious goal of becoming an MLOps standard for data scientists worldwide. Our platform is a lightweight experiment tracker for ML teams that struggle with debugging and reproducing experiments, sharing results, and messy model handover.

User experience is one of the crucial areas of our product. As a Senior Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the development of industry-leading solutions. You will be solving usability problems through deep user understanding, experimentation, and refinement.

Additionally, to ensure a holistic and systematic approach, you will engage in design team initiatives, such as regular UX audits, maintaining the quality of the design system, or process improvements.

Interested? Reach out, providing us with a portfolio showcasing your design and UX skills in the application form.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and address user experience bottlenecks, proposing strategic UX improvements;
  • Work with the UI design system (we use Figma) - make use of available design components for quick prototyping, as well as improve and document components and interactions;
  • Conduct user research, gathering insights through interviews and feedback sessions with our existing or potential users;
  • Proactively propose improvements to our design process and contribute to design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability;
  • Apply the available qualitative and quantitative data to make design decisions and validate implemented solutions;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other product and engineering team members.

We are looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design of web-based products;

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing;
  • Experience conducting comprehensive UX audits and evaluations.
  • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions;
  • User-centric, data-driven mindset and clear orientation to goals through iterative design;
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Startup experience;
  • Experience in designing products for engineers/developers or data-heavy products;
  • Analytical and statistical reasoning skills.
