Senior Product Designer
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our design team. The Senior Product Designer is a strategic partner of the product and development team. You'll partner with a cross-functional product team from start to finish and tackle design responsibilities for the product lifecycle.
In this role, you'll be responsible for providing the right experience for our products.. As a seasoned product designer, you'll be comfortable performing any design duties throughout the product design process of a feature that the team is shipping.
An essential aspect of this role is having a deep understanding of the balance between business, design, aesthetics, users, and technical possibilities to serve our brand's purpose, missions, and customer needs.
The role involves
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to create software that is simple and easy-to-use.
- Translate business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into clear design concepts and workflows.
- Use Figma to create artifacts (diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes and hi-fidelity mockups) that highlight user needs and outline design opportunities.
- Articulate design decisions clearly and concisely, in non-designer-speak, to product and engineering teammates.
- Keep the rest of the design team up to date on the project status. It is your responsibility to meet the project deadlines set by the team.
- Work with and maintain our design system.
- Form design theses and gather insights to inform design decisions. Test completed work to make sure that it matches the initial design intent.
- Owns the design improvement of your product and converts them into the development workstream.
- Propose multiple unique design options that showcase different degrees of technicality or different methods that users can achieve their goals
The ideal candidate
- 7+ years of experience as a product designer or related field. Previous experience working for a SAAS company is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Figma is a must
- Excellent knowledge in UI, UX, design research and visual design.
- Excellent knowledge of the design processes and methodologies
- Expert knowledge of design system processes and methodologies
- Experience planning and executing user research and user testing
- Highly proficient in user experience, has a good product sense, and can challenge existing design conventions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. An advocate for both usefulness, usability, and aesthetics of the products.
- A computer science background is considered an asset.
