About the Position

Our mission is to revolutionize application security. At Contrast Security, we offer a new approach to code security and application protection, from developers analyzing the first line of code through instrumenting a sophisticated enterprise DevSecOps lifecycle, and deploying apps at-scale. 

As a Sr. Product Manager in the runtime testing and protection team, you will drive strategic initiatives that serve our core business. You will work directly with product and engineering teams, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, and work closely with key enterprise customers.

This challenging role requires a keen eye for driving delightful customer experiences in the context of an enterprise-class product. It also requires a broad understanding of the security challenges associated with modern software development practices (DevOps/Cloud/APIs) and a deep understanding of the developer persona. 

We need an action-oriented, data-driven individual with a solid mix of technical and business skills – someone who is equally comfortable working with development teams and with sales and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape and identify key areas of competitive differentiation and market opportunity 
  • Create, and drive delivery of a compelling product vision and strategy
  • Own the user stories, product requirements, and definition of the product experience 
  • Establish and track clear metrics and KPIs to evaluate business and feature performance 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape and identify key areas of competitive differentiation and market disruption
  • Work with product marketing on storytelling, marketing collateral, pricing and positioning

Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of AppSec and DevOps personas
  • Detail oriented and organized. You’re able to transmute various, conflicting inputs into a focused narrative that engineering can drive and deliver and sales can sell
  • A passion for simple and amazing user experiences 
  • An ability to use data to derive insights, measure impact and relentlessly prioritize
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed environmentExecutive presence combined with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude

  • 5-10 years of product management/development experience. The ideal candidate will come with a software development and/or developer tools background 
  • Experience with SaaS products ideally in one or more of the following areas: Application & Cloud Security, APM, Endpoint Security, EDR, SIEM, CI/CD technologies
  • Experience in direct customer engagements
  • Ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences, and executives 
  • Experience with Agile and Lean development practices and rapid prototyping
  • Experience performing competitive and business analysis
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred

What We Offer

Salary and Other Compensation

This position's standard base pay range is $170,000 - $200,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an equity package subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider several factors: geography, skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
