In a nutshell

We’ve built a great product serving a rapidly expanding market and we need your help in guiding the direction of our products and shaping the way UX research is practiced.

Who we are

UsabilityHub is a remote UX research platform that helps organisations deliver products that perfectly fit their customers’ needs. We empower designers to engage directly with users and get rich feedback, quickly and easily. We’ve been championing human-centred design practices for over 10 years with big and small customers including Asana, Google, Metalab, UsTwo, Unilever and Zendesk.

Who we’re looking for

  • You are a curious, creative thinker who loves synthesising ideas and discovering new possibilities.
  • You are always on the lookout for new opportunities and experiences, and pursue lots of areas of interest so you don’t get bored.
  • You love moving between lots of people, contexts, and ideas; it makes you feel energised and excited.
  • You know the value of focus and you're a pro at balancing priorities, making trade-offs and limiting distractions.
  • You have strong facilitation skills and can keep a meeting from going off the rails, and you’re great at enabling contributions from people of different backgrounds without getting overwhelmed.
  • You are a consultative leader who seeks out information from those around you in order to understand and solve problems.
  • You are a confident decision maker and can connect disparate dots to unblock progress and align project team members and stakeholders.
  • You enjoy speaking with customers and are a natural at empathising with their challenges and understanding their needs.
  • You’ve worked closely with UX designers and researchers in the past and understand the domain well.
  • You’re used to working alongside designers and engineers, can speak both languages, and are familiar enough with both spaces to understand and negotiate trade-offs.
  • You consider yourself a lifelong learner and you deeply value feedback and exploration; you are always looking for ways to improve.

Picture yourself in the role

If you were here this month, you would have:

  • Served as scrum master on your product team, making sure everything is on track by running daily stand-ups, checking tickets, and getting everyone what they need to get things done.
  • Facilitated a project meeting with your team to set milestones and unblock decisions on the current feature you’re building.
  • Put together a project update for the broader company to keep everyone up to speed with progress and excited about the release.
  • Worked with marketing to communicate information about a soon-to-be-released product feature to ensure launch collateral is ready and success measures are in place.
  • Created documentation and a short video to help train sales and support teams on the new functionality we’re delivering.
  • Worked with the project design and tech project leads to confirm the priorities for the next cycle, and fleshing out stories with the team for the cycle planning session.
  • Dug into metrics and feedback in Metabase, Fullstory and Productboard to answer questions around usage for a recently delivered project.
  • Analysed research data to understand customers’ behaviour and needs, and to suggest future changes and improvements.
  • Met with Jamie (our Customer Support Manager) to discuss any insights the support team have uncovered, and to answer any questions they have about the product.
  • Conducted customer and competitor research for the next feature we have planned to start work on in a couple months.
  • Met up with Tristan (our CPO) to collaborate on a feature proposal you’re putting together.
