Senior Product Manager
Nerdy is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. We’re seeking an experienced individual who can tackle a wide range of opportunities and problems that should be solved with technology. We believe one of the most important functions of a PM is to determine which opportunities deserve to be pursued, why, when, and how, and then work relentlessly to drive the right progress. This position is 100% remote work and will report to company headquarters in St. Louis, MO.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Master’s in Business Administration or related.
- Requires at least 3 years of related experience, which includes some experience in each of the following skills:
- Agile product management practices to direct the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuously iterate on the product experience to satisfy evolving customer needs and business goals
- User experience design principles in the product development process to improve user interactions, increase user satisfaction, and drive product adoption and growth
- Identification of target markets, execution of primary customer research, and industry report and competitor analysis to make informed decisions about product features, pricing, and marketing strategies, and to ensure that products are competitive and meet market demand to drive revenue growth
- Collection, evaluation and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data (surveys, interviews, experiments, product analytics, observations, Google Analytics, and database queries) to inform product decisions and drive business outcomes
- Construction and optimization of SQL queries within business intelligence platforms (such as Looker) to extract insights from product-related, user behavior, and business operational data from Jira, Looker, and the Google platform
- Understand and appreciate that Nerdy is an apolitical company and that we can have the largest impact if we are united in our focus on helping people learn and not divided or distracted by advancing unrelated causes.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a thought leader to represent what customers need and where the market is going
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to analyze and deeply understand customer and business needs in a given area
- Drive product vision, strategy, technical requirements, and ultimately deliver on desired timelines
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to apply the scientific method to product development: observation, question, hypothesis, prediction, test, measure, learn, iterate.
- Continually manage and prioritize the product backlog to address opportunities at the right time and level of fidelity (MVP vs. scaled solution)
- Drive adoption of features and products, including thoughtfully building in growth loops and promotional campaigns in collaboration with Marketing
- Proactively define and track product and program success metrics that ladder to output metrics
- Lead, plan, and conduct periodic written business reviews with business partners and leadership team.
