Senior Product Manager - Cloud Services
About the job:
The Red Hat Business Unit team is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Cloud Services to join us. In this role, you will gather and prioritize business requirements related to new features and functions of Hybrid Cloud Application services using Agile and Design Thinking methodologies and define detailed technical specifications used by the software engineering team to build the services.
What you will do:
- Lead the structuring, prioritization, and management of product backlogs for strategic Hybrid Cloud Application Services under development, based on a range of inputs provided from both internal and external stakeholders and identify potential gaps and opportunities for cloud application services
- Assist in the overall development of Product Roadmaps and Strategy Updates for Red Hat’s hosted application services as a key component of Red Hat's Open Hybrid Cloud Strategy
- Validate new features and functions to ensure the Cloud Application services are working as expected under different data conditions, confirming stakeholder requirements are delivered by the managed solutions
- Demonstrate Cloud Application services functionality to customers, deliver end user material and collateral by collaborating with marketing, content strategy and user experience teams
- Engage regularly with Red Hat sales and consulting organizations to assist in directing customer engagements, as well as provide updates on Red Hat Cloud Application Services roadmaps, timelines and strategy, and gather and prioritize detailed technical feedback on these teams’ engagements and overall outcomes
- Engage with other managed services Product and Engineering teams to ensure coordination, efficiencies and shared technical implementation learnings are optimized across the organization
- Define and validate the appropriate field and direct customer pricing models for use with the managed Cloud Application services being delivered including all considerations around availability across the various cloud marketplaces
- Create user journey dashboards using a range of business intelligence tools to gather product usage metrics, and analyze and translate opportunities into technical requirements
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer information Systems or related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
- 5+ years of experience with: product management and business analysis, including defining product strategy, roadmap and prioritization of business and technical needs; agile and software development lifecycle methodologies; data management and architecture definitions; performance and user acceptance testing and monitoring solutions; and product development and delivery working directly with product engineering or delivery teams
- 4+ years of experience with cloud technologies and services
- 3+ years of experience with Data Analytics solutions
- Willingness to participate in up to 10% domestic and international travel required to conferences, client sites and team meetings, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
