Senior Product Manager - Credit Card
As a product leader on the credit card team, you will collaborate with a team of designers, engineers, and other key partners to steadily evolve our credit card offering and spend management tooling, all in service of making Mercury a full financial stack for startups.
You will be accountable for deep qualitative and quantitative customer understanding, identifying customer problems and target markets, and driving product prioritization and execution for new features that become an exemplar across Mercury. You will ensure that your entire team and company feels ownership over the product direction and results.
While you will focus on a particular area, you will develop a point of view on how the credit card fits into our broader product offering, working with teams like Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and more.
As part of the journey, we would expect you to:
- Co-own an ambitious product roadmap for the credit card product from ideation to execution with design and engineering
- Drive product execution with an incredible level of attention to detail to enable minimum lovable launches
- Establish and hone product and health metrics in the credit card space to help to drive high quality decision-making
- Be a collaborative powerhouse across Mercury, ensuring stakeholders are brought in and aligned on the vision of Mercury’s credit card and feels joint ownership over strategy and results
- Create strategy and frameworks to inform our future credit card partnerships strategy
- Clearly communicate technical and non-technical product specifications for banking improvements/features to enable efficiency across a wide breadth of stakeholders
- Drive accountability — hold yourself and others accountable in service of great work
Some things that might make you successful in a role like this:
- Have 5+ years of relevant product management experience
- Have some experience or familiarity with the credit or credit card space
- Have experience managing and shipping large scale projects that have complex tradeoffs
- Be technically inclined or comfortable enough with technical concepts to produce detailed-oriented requirements that enable your team to ship high quality features
- Be able to balance a deep technical understanding of product and partner requirements with user empathy
- Be able to take complex problems and distill them into first principles

New hire offers are made based on a job candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers. Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:
The salary range for candidates in the US is $173,600 – $204,200 USD.
The salary range for candidates in Canada is CAD 158,000 – 185,800.
