The Data & Analytics Product Management team defines and delivers the data infrastructure, tools, pipelines, governance, data models, and customer-facing products to drive intelligent business decisions and customer insights towards our mission of developing and delivering better health care. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team and help us elevate our data platform to the next level.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, operations, privacy, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the data platform in alignment with company goals.
- Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that outlines key initiatives and deliverables.
- Lead and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure a steady flow and success of the team’s work.
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to define technical requirements, ensure timely delivery of features, and manage project timelines.
- Define, build, and optimize the data infrastructure and tools that provide the foundation of our analytics and business intelligence capabilities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, operations, privacy, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
- Ensure the protection and privacy of highly sensitive patient data by enabling robust data governance infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for data management, security, and compliance in collaboration with the engineering team
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding product updates, timelines, and feedback.
- Use insights to influence product decisions and keep the platform ahead of and in tune with company demands.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or related technologies.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex technical products.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience managing products built with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a “drive for results” attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies
Pluses:
- Familiarity with regulated organizations, including HIPAA, CLIA/CAP, CCPA/CPRA
- Experience with electronic healthcare records, interoperability, and the US healthcare domain
- Experience working with sensitive and/or regulated data (Clinical, Financial, etc)
- Hands on software engineering experience
- Experience using Airflow, Nextflow, or other workflow orchestration

Expected Pay For This Role:
There are 3 distinct parts to your Helix offer: 1) Base Salary 2) Annual Bonus 3) Equity
- Expected Helix Base: $146,000 - $196,250
- Expected Helix Discretionary Annual Bonus: 15% of your annual salary
- Equity: We offer generous equity at Helix. If you receive a Helix offer your recruiter will book dedicated time with you to educate you on our equity model.
The salary range above is our reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role across US locations. Actual starting pay will be based on non-discriminatory job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. What To Expect During Your Onboarding Week:
We want to make sure your first week is spent learning the foundations. You will be invited to live orientation sessions and spend time with your hiring manager developing your individual roadmap to success. This experience will include sessions that cover your benefits, security & privacy training, an introduction to the OKR framework used at Helix and our communication tools and norms.
What To Expect During Your First 90 days:
First 30 days: you’ll spend time learning the Helix way, completing training and onboarding for your roles, and getting introduced to your team and relevant stakeholders. You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of our customers, our products, the impact we make in the lives of our communities, and how to thrive at Helix through participation in Helix U.
Day 30 - 60: you’ll spend time contributing to projects, deeply familiarizing yourself with team and company processes, and developing a deeper understanding of Helix’s products, services and capabilities.
Day 60 - 90: you’ll build your OKRs with your manager, start to take ownership of projects and initiatives on your team, and begin to demonstrate your impact on the Helix mission.
