Upwork is looking for a Senior SEO Product Manager to own and drive the product strategy for growing organic traffic to Upwork. This is a multifaceted challenge where you'll need to bring all of your leadership experience, product skills, and internal drive to take Upwork's SEO to the next level! You'll specifically focus on how we build, optimize, and scale experiences to attract new customers. As the Senior SEO Product Manager, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of crucial SEO growth product initiatives. You will come up with big bets on how to expand our footprint and gain efficiencies, engage prospects to take action, run experiments, analyze data, and build and execute a cohesive organic product growth strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute SEO product strategy based on business objectives and customer needs and translate strategy into an actionable roadmap.
- Drive SEO requirements definition, product planning, design, and development process end-to-end.
- Identify opportunities for organic growth by leveraging analytics and SEO tools to evaluate data, analyze trends, and identify technical enhancements.
- Monitor SEO health and performance, owning the analysis to discover legacy issues, find root causes and identify opportunities.
- Manage and prioritize the SEO product backlog.
- Investigate and propose competitive product strategies to support traffic growth.
- Run A/B tests, evaluate experiment results, and push improvements forward.
- Provide technical guidance to other teams across the organization.
- Communicate the roadmap, performance, and plans to key stakeholders.
- Keep up with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and the competitive landscape.
- Expand and evangelize best practices for scoping, building, validating, deploying, and monitoring/improving products.
- Interact in a highly collaborative manner with internal stakeholders and vendor partners.

- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging SEO techniques.
The annual base salary for this position in California and Washington ranges from $[149,000] - $[264,000]. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program
