About the role:

DroneDeploy is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own our Aerial product line –developing a marketing strategy to support the growth and revenue goals associated with the category. This includes leading the development of product messaging, content strategy, marketing and sales readiness content, as well as maintaining the external strategic co-marketing partnerships required by the business.

The strategy should reflect an understanding of key industry trends, strategic market opportunities and sales priorities. Success will be defined by effective campaign execution that results in significant pipeline and revenue growth. This position will work closely with key program stakeholders including product managers, customer success managers, support teams, sales teams, and strategic partners.

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, the role will be part of our Marketing team and can work remotely anywhere within the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and leverage a deep understanding and expertise of our Aerial products' value proposition and competitive landscape to understand customer needs.
  • Develop marketing plans for our Aerial product line with analysis and insights, including strategies and specific tactics and resources to drive growth opportunities and address key risks.
  • Develop, direct, and implement comprehensive product launch and marketing programs which may include establishing business plans, market research, market segmentation, competitive strategy, pricing, and commercialization tactics. Create positioning to drive adoption, build new markets, and differentiate the product from the competition
  • Develop messaging for sales tools (literature, brochures, website, and social media), support development of training materials, and field sales and customer communications to support sales and the customer.
  • Conduct primary and secondary customer and market research to support product strategy development, commercialization strategies, and business performance measurement. Develop and present recommendations.
  • Support the assessment of the DroneDeploy Aerial product line performance in sales, margins, demand, and brand perception. Identify trends and risks, understand trends driving demand; communicate to the appropriate internal stakeholders changes and key assumptions.
  • Build relationships with key customers, thought leaders, trade associations, and industry players to facilitate sales and increase positive visibility and adoption of DroneDeploy Aerial products.
  • Successfully execute campaign plans and tactics across multiple channels to include sales, digital and social media, industry conferences, advertising - and track metrics and optimize performance to drive program ROI.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders as needed to support campaign development and execution.
  • Project Management: Manage the marketing aspects of projects involving cross-functional groups.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Marketing, PR, Communication, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required5-8 years of experience in product marketing, solutions marketing, or outbound product management required
  • Experience at a business-to-business enterprise software company required
  • Work Hours | able to work Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Work Location | able to work 100% remotely from home
  • Travel | available to travel domestically occasionally for work-related events such as customer visits, conferences, company in-person gatherings, and training

Bonus Skills, Experience, Interests:

  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale awareness campaigns, working with creative agencies and/or in-house design teams strongly preferred
  • Solid experience in positioning work and writing marketing plans for complex products and/or market dynamics
  • You are a team player, knowing how to work well cross-functionally to rally teams around your strategy and plans
  • You can balance both the art and science of marketing – having great creative intuition and an insatiable appetite for data and insights
  • You are curious about drone technology and the reality capture industry at large 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
