About the opportunity: 

NetDocuments is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to serve as an internal expert on our products and technology, current and prospective customers, and how our solutions fit the needs of each market segment. This role will digest, analyze, and report on market research, industry trends, and competitor activity to inform positioning, messaging, and sales/marketing strategies. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Product Marketing. 

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in combining domain expertise, communication finesse, and a strategic mindset to drive product adoption and growth in the legal tech industry. 

What your contributions will be: 

  • In coordination with product-focused PMMs, create and execute plans for how to introduce a product, feature, and/or solution to the market and how to maintain its success through its lifecycle (Go-to-Market)
  • Develop value propositions, messaging frameworks, positions statements, and thought leadership for product solutions that are aligned with the prospective customer personas for each of our market segments.
  • Understand, monitor, and analyze the overall market, unique differences of key verticals, product/market fit of our solutions, key buyer personas, and general market trends.
  • Identify and monitor top competitors, share findings with product teams and executives, develop competitive positioning, and incorporate competitive positioning into sales enablement training and tools, marketing programs, and collateral.
  • Assist the marketing team with the messaging and product positioning in core collateral such as web copy, brochures, videos, presentations, etc.
  • Support the sales organization by communicating the value of solutions to the sales team through the development of battle cards, training presentations, pitch decks, and other sales tools.
  • Work with analysts and other industry associations to further the goals for the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring to the team: 

  • Deep familiarity with the legal industry: You will support a global go-to-market that spans law firms of all sizes, corporate legal departments, and the public sector
  • Deep understanding of the legal tech market: You will apply competitive intelligence and market trends to help position products favorably
  • Strong understanding of legal technology, specifically document management and AI: As a product marketing manager, you will grasp the intricacies of legal technology solutions
  • Effective communication: You will translate technical details and nuanced considerations into clear, persuasive messages, distilling complex technical information into compelling narratives for both internal teams and external audiences
  • Compelling storytelling: You will craft solution narratives and value propositions that resonate with stakeholders, whether it's an internal team or the market, and demonstrate strong presentation skills including public speaking.
  • Advanced content writing skills: You will create engaging content for various channels, including blogs, whitepapers, webinars and industry events.
  • PowerPoint mastery: You will develop visually appealing presentations that convey key messages.
  • Strategic problem solving and critical thinking: You will demonstrate an ability to connect dots and see patterns and trends, and to translate these into go-to-market strategies
  • Relationship-building: You will collaborate and work productively across functions and with partners and customers in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment

What you will need for success: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least six years of experience in product management, product marketing, or equivalent roles in the legal technology industry
  • Three years of experience specifically in a product marketing manager role
  • Alternatively, equivalent experience on the buy-side (i.e., law firm or legal department) focused around legal technology selection, onboarding and training may be considered
