Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support delivery on application development and modernization projects for the U.S. Forest Service (FS). In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for outreach to Dynamo staff on a monthly basis and as needed to ensure they are effectively contributing to the project and their needs are being met. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual personnel reviews by capturing feedback and monitoring performance. They will support timesheet and invoice approvals and help present monthly status checks to Dynamo Leadership. They will assist in ensuring projects are complying with operational processes. They will establish and strengthen relationships with customers and partner companies. They will function as a key communication conduit between Dynamo corporate, the project team, and partner companies regarding day-to-day and administrative activities. They will proactively resolve issues and identify opportunities for improvements.

Duties/ Responsibilities 

  • Oversee and perform project management duties for several application development modernization projects.
  • Follow the guidance and standards established by the CIO Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Delivers and manages project documentation (i.e. charter, project management plan, status quad chart, etc.) in accordance with PMO requirements.
  • Update and maintain the project’s artifact repository.
  • Update and maintain Project Online milestones and deliverables.
  • Schedule, scope, and budget are managed and communicated with Integrated Investment Teams, Key Stakeholders, and Executive Leadership in accordance with PMO requirements.
  • Status and health of roadmap implementation are briefed in accordance with PMO requirements.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to meet project deliverables.
  • Manage team and cross-functional team impediments and risks and escalate as needed.
  • Check deliverables against requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Additional corporate responsibilities of a Dynamo Managers includes:
  1. Support the following areas for their project: Project management, resource management, recruiting, customer / relationship management, financial management, business development / growth, and contract management.
  2. Support administrative and personnel management, across the project (e.g. timesheets, status, reports, invoice approval, performance reviews).
  3. Support resolving team impediments, and escalate to Partner Delivery Project Manager and/or Dynamo Account Lead.
  4. Present and provide monthly project updates to Account Lead on status, risks, mitigation, etc. in both written and verbal communications.
  5. Support team member project onboarding.
  6. Ensure quality control by providing regular feedback and coaching to team members on performance.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project Online (or Microsoft Project Professional)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple project assignments
  • Experience leading agile development teams
  • Personable and able to work with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to plan, organize, and structure work
  • Experience motivating teams in a virtual environment
  • Understands the Software Development Lifecyle concepts and process

Nice to Have:

Experience working for Federal or State govt is preferred

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management
  • Bachelor of Science in business analysis, business administration, IT, or any related field

Clearance Requirement:

  • Public Trust

Travel:

  • Possibility for very infrequent travel in the US

Salary:

  • $120k - $140k
