Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of project delivery to clients, including monitoring and communicating progress, addressing issues and risks, and maintaining all required supporting documentation. The primary focus of this role will be supporting the deployment and operations of Enterra’s solutions to our clients. You will work closely with internal and external teams, including technical, engineering, project management and business teams to ensure our solutions are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, in a manner that exceeds our clients' expectations and meets their needs.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
- Drive all project activity from scope, implementation and through post-implementation review
- Develop project plans, timelines, internal and external communication plans, status reports, analyses, and presentations
- Monitor and track progress and manage adherence to project schedules and ensure accurate reporting of project status
- Communicate progress, next steps, and needs to appropriate stakeholders
- Engage with client project management resources to ensure common understanding and management of project delivery. Where client project management is not available, you will work with Enterra and client Business Leads/Sponsors to create an acceptable structure.
- Proactively identify issues and risks and escalate to business leads, executive sponsors, and key stakeholders as needed
- Engage and manage vendors, as needed, to deliver project-related work
- Facilitate lessons learned at project closure to utilize for continuous improvement
- Work with the Business Lead and Project Lead and to track resources within the project, support the maintenance of the project portfolio resourcing requirements
- Contribute to evolution of project management methodology
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in technical, client-facing project management. Experience in a SaaS environment would be beneficial
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodology – note that we are not explicitly looking for a Scrum Master.
- Proficiency with Project Management tools like JIRA and MS Project.
- Strong preference for background in providing technology solutions to the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Proven ability to work independently and coordinate multiple simultaneous, inter-connected projects
- Exceptional organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact and communicate to all levels of executive management, project team members, and vendors
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Jira)
- Experience tracking decentralized resources across multiple time zones and functions
Additional Information
Must reside in the US – preferably in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic Regions. Remote work permitted. Occasionally, travel may be needed based on client or project requirements. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. This is a full-time position with benefits.
