Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager position is part of our Professional Services team managing new or existing customer ERP software implementations and/or other complex projects. Projects may include complex consulting projects, software upgrades or large-scale training and re-training initiatives. Project Managers are responsible for working closely with the customer to develop a project timeline and ensure the projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Essential Tasks:
- Manage multiple large scale, campus wide ERP software implementation projects from contract signing to post go live.
- Prepare detailed project plan including resource allocations/tasks, deliverable dates and milestones required to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Effectively negotiate timelines with customers.
- Negotiate internal resource schedules, prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and maintain open and timely communication.
- Manage project scope by detecting potential issues and implementing solutions.
- Maintain proper change management controls to stay within project scope.
- Manage risk by ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved.
- Monitor plan progress to ensure milestone deliverables are on schedule.
- Manage conflict and ensure problems are solved before the quality of the project is compromised.
- Creatively solve customer problems and provide timely response to questions and concerns.
- Approve and manage resource billable hours and contract tasks.
- Conduct project meetings and frequently communicate project status with all stakeholders (customers and account team) including client task deliverables.
- Share innovations with the team to improve processes and deliver consistent, high-quality service.
- Provide leadership to and supervise the project team.
- Be positive with customers especially when decisions may not be well received.
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
The pay range for this position is $59,000 to $83,500/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
