The Role

The Senior Regulatory Specialist is a key member of the Quality, Safety and Regulatory Compliance team and will be in charge of producing, modifying and reviewing technical manuals and specifications as well as managing Quality Management System (QMS) processes. Working alongside the Quality, Safety and Regulatory Compliance team, the writer will collaborate closely with the Director of Regulatory Compliance and other team members to produce content relating to global regulatory changes and assisting in authoring a QMS policy for Lovevery.

This individual should be knowledgeable about toys and children’s products regulations in all major markets. This role requires an understanding of the manufacturing processes and materials we use in the construction of our products along with effective risk mitigation techniques within manufacturing as it relates to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop or update templates for Standard Operating Procedures, Regulatory Testing Specifications and Regulatory Checklists
  • Compose supporting documents for product regulatory compliance and product safety/quality
  • Incorporate visual aids such as photographs, drawings, diagrams, animations and charts to enhance user comprehension.
  • Ensure consistency of content across all documents
  • Update policies and documents to address new or pending issues as they arise for global regulatory compliance/expansion
  • Assist with the creation of technical manuals and specifications
  • Conduct documentation audits in conjunction with the Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to ensure Lovevery documentation is up to date and ensure audits/inspections for compliance are conducted prior to certificate expiration. Prepare reports as needed to management
  • Assist in providing training and education to various internal and external stakeholders on compliance policies, procedures and regulations and develop training materials
  • Work with outside experts as required to seek required assessments of new and existing products
  • Work with various stakeholders to develop methods, processes and procedures to mitigate the risk of regulatory failures in both design and development as well as manufacturing.
  • Will work closely with Vendor Quality Team to ensure all vendors are meeting the requirements set forth in the QMS.
  • Become the primary contact to help teams facilitate changes to the products with respect to changing regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate pending or upcoming changes that are voluntary that could affect future compliance

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • BS in a technical discipline
  • Exceptional writing skills that are suitable for end-user audience
  • Aptitude in technical writing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities as well as project management and problem-solving expertise
  • Manage and collaborate on multiple projects with varying timelines and create accurate, consistent and user friendly documentation that can be used in multiple applications
  • Capable of developing work-flow based documentation solutions for products with multiple user types
  • Strong skills in creating effective visual displays of information
  • Consumer products experience a must
  • Toy or Children’s products experience preferred

Salary Range Information

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $71,000.00 to $120,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
