Position Responsibilities
The Salesforce Administrator will assist in building, configuring, and automating solutions in Deltek’s Salesforce instances to deliver business value. The ideal candidate can demonstrate experience with Salesforce configuration, automation capabilities, especially Flow, and a general understanding of business processes, particularly with Sales & Marketing. The Salesforce Administrator should be comfortable liaising with users and enjoy learning new business processes in order to translate them into technical solutions. This role collaborates with functional leaders to identify, define, and implement changes and enhancements to meet business requirements in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce automation solutions, with a thorough understanding of Flow and a general understanding of when to engage in technical development solutions such as Apex and code. You will also have extensive experience in Salesforce Lightning and be educated on new features (e.g., . Dynamic Forms) and be able to deliver creative solutions (e.g., . Flow screens) to successfully identify and implement process improvement recommendations. You will also be motivated, team oriented and passionate about leveraging Salesforce technology to improve business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design & implement Salesforce solutions to address user requirements and changing business needs operating within an Agile methodology and team
- Identify operational & system improvement areas through the discovery of gaps or new development, suggest possible solutions and support business case needs to advance improvement efforts.
- Support operational & system improvements by having strong knowledge in Salesforce configuration & automations, particularly with creating complex Flows to enhance business processes, with focus on future scalability.
- Consult and partner with Salesforce developers to ensure solutions implemented are scalable and maintainable.
- Research new product releases and Salesforce “apps”, provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Support development lifecycle process by maintaining development, documentation and environment standards.
- Creating/Executing Test Cases
DESIRED SALESFORCE SKILLS
- 3-5 years of hands-on prior Salesforce Administrator experience, especially within the Sales Cloud
- Full understanding of Salesforce Order of Execution
- Proven experience with Salesforce Flow
- Experience with Salesforce features such as audit trails, Einstein, debug logs and incorporation of external packages.
- Certified System Administrator required; Advanced Certified System Administrator & Platform App Builder Certification is desirable.
- Data management and manipulation skills utilizing the Apex Data Loader, Workbench or Demand Tools, or another similar ETL tool.
- An understanding of the sales processes within Salesforce from Leads to Opportunities and Quotes (experience with CPQ & SaaS products is a plus)
- Salesforce Experience skills preferred, but not required
- Experience with SF Agile Accelerator preferred, but not required

- Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field or equivalent work experience
- Must be very well organized and be able to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests, flexible to meet changing priorities and challenges
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision
- Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems with minimal direction
- Experience interacting and supporting geographically dispersed clients/users, strong oral and written communication skills
- Ideal prior experience with both Waterfall and Agile Project Methodology
