Senior Security Manager

Job Summary: Provide leadership and direction for the information security function. Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of information security, including access management, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, architecting both logical and hardware infrastructure, and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement business plans, policies and procedures to maintain systems, networks, databases and/or Web security. Lead the development of technical expertise across teams and platforms. Collaborates across teams and departments to develop and execute customer service strategies that enable customers to meet their company objectives within the realm of security/compliance. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.

Work Location: US  Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Security Operations Center (SOC) stakeholder in global security incidents and collaborates with Incident Management and other departments to establish response strategies to cyber security threats.
  • Leads a cross-departmental leadership team to assess risk, plan remediation and execute full remediation of customer and Rackspace environments.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the information security function.

  • Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.
  • Utilize knowledge of the organization’s business model and operations to drive high impact projects and complex analyses that support the organization’s mission.
  • Leverage deep understanding of the policies, practices, trends, and information that impact the organization and its customers to plan for future projects.
  • Utilize knowledge of the business and financial impact of decisions/solutions to drive high-impact projects that support the organization and contribute to financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or technology related field. At the Manager's discretion, 4 years of additional related experience may substitute for the degree requirement; if substitution allowed, regional equivalent to High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in network or cyber security.
  • 2 years of people management experience.

•The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $116,100 - $170,280.

•The anticipated starting pay range for the states of Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $123,600 - $181,280.

•The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $135,300 - $198,440.

Unless already included in the posted pay range and based on eligibility, the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments. These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance and may change at any time. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
