This role is to be filled in the SRE team, which is responsible for running the infrastructure of our SaaS product. The team manages a multi-cloud provider setup including operational security. You will provide our engineering teams with the necessary monitoring and alerting tools to ensure high reliability and adherence to their service level objectives. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who is ready to take our setup and tools to the next level. There is plenty of room to leave your own footprint and solve big challenges around the infrastructure and observability setup.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, maintain and improve our Kubernetes based infrastructure and multi cloud platform setup (availability, scalability, fault tolerance, network services, configuration best practices, etc.).
  • Implement and improve our monitoring tools to ensure the healthiness and performance across our stack (both for SREs and for developers).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, improve and ship features lean and efficiently.
  • Contribute with your experience: innovate and push our setup, processes and automation to the next level.
  • Provide 3rd level support and be part of our on-call rotation.

What You Bring:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product
  • Expertise in managing multi-could and/or multi-region environments (e.g. AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and with “Infrastructure as Code” principles (e.g. Terraform)
  • Good knowledge of observability tooling (e.g. Prometheus and Grafana), alerting principles and service level objectives
  • Eager to make a significant impact, innovate, take ownership and drive operational excellence
  • You embrace the “you build it, you run it” mindset for deploying and operating software

Nice-to-haves:

  • 6yrs of experience in infrastructure roles (DevOps/ SRE) as a rough guideline
  • Proficiency in writing code (problem solving via code mindset, automation)
  • Hands on expertise incident management and SaaS product operations

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation

For external hires, we consider the skills and experience of the incoming candidate, but typically place candidates in the first half of the range to ensure ample room for growth over the entire lifecycle of the role.

Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence. 

The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows: 

  • United States: $126,800.00 to $190,100.00
  • Germany: €84,300.00 to €126,500.00
  • United Kingdom: £82,200.00 to £123,200.00
  • Singapore: S$157,400.00 to S$236,100.00
