Senior Site Reliability Engineer - UK

As our company grows, we realize we have a missing piece and that’s where you come in! We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in UK to help us maintain and grow our systems. You will need to be able to understand the importance of observability, how to automate and use CI/CD tools to deploy your IaC, understand how the cloud paying model works and how to make use of it optimally when deploying Infrastructure and having the ability to adhere to the best practices on secure deployment of resources along with a good understanding of configuration management. You have worked with containers and kubernetes and have experience managing EKS clusters. This is a fully remote, full-time role, open to candidates in UK only.

You will:

  • Assist in the technical leadership of the DevEx & SRE team
  • Assist in mentoring the existing team members
  • Set and enforce high standards of observability and IaC
  • Ensure that the team adheres to the best security practices
  • Promote an excellent self-service experience for our engineers using existing or new tools
  • Be part of our on-call rotation

Requirements

  • A love for automation
  • 5+ years of experience working with highly scalable applications
  • 5+ years working with AWS (EKS, RDS, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, etc)
  • 4+ years experience with managing and deploying IaC via Terraform (incl. Terratest)
  • Proficiency working and managing Kubernetes clusters & using Helm
  • Proficiency working with monitoring & observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus & Grafana, Loki, etc
  • Proficiency following best security practices for AWS
  • Excellent utilization of version control systems
  • Implemented CI/CD processes across multiple systems (application & infrastructure)
  • Understanding of Go
  • Experience working remotely

  • Knowing how to set up and maintain AWS Organisations
  • FinOps knowledge

The hiring range for this role is: $132,500 - $156,000 USD Annually

DNSFilter is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The hiring base pay is dependent upon many factors such as level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and/or geographic location. As a fully remote company, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. and global geographic markets. We pay differently based on those defined markets.
