About the Position
Reports to: Manager, Engineering
Location: Remote - US
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Android to join our Cardlytics Consumer team. As a Senior Software Engineer - Android, you will be responsible for the design and development of one of the top cash back reward apps and SDKs that empower advertisers to effectively reach their target audience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Android, excellent leadership skills and a passion for building high-quality mobile applications.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects while influencing and coaching a distributed cross functional team of engineers
- Design, develop, test deploy, maintain and enhance large scale software solutions
- Collaborate with product, design, analysts, clients and other engineers to efficiently build and deliver high-performing experiences to millions of consumers
- Ensure best practices and quality standards to maintain a robust codebase while closely monitoring performance and stability of the SDK and App
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 8+ years experience building Android applications, with a strong command of Java and/or Kotlin programming languages
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of Android developers, with a track record of successfully delivering complex Android projects
- Aesthetic instincts in both visual and interaction design
- Experience with Android frameworks such as Rx Java, Retrofit, Animations, Dagger2, etc.
- Experience with threading and performance tuning
- Experience writing Unit/Integration tests in production apps
- Experience working in agile teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus
- Experience with SDK is a plus
