Senior Software Engineer

Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to perform Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Documentation in the areas of Development and Maintenance. This individual will do scripting and BI dashboard development.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture, Design, Code Reviews for processes around reporting
- Assume full ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables
- Creation of accurate technical design specifications as required to meet the organizations standards
- Development and execution of unit test cases when appropriate for ongoing validation
- Production of efficient and fully documented software code
- Creation of supporting technical and installation documentation as required
- Peer code reviews and sign-off of design changes
- Escalate all issues in a timely fashion
Qualifications:
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or other relevant combination of training and experience and industry experience
Experience:
- 4-6 years of software development experience
- Proficient in scripting using: SQL, PL SQL, Python
- 2+ years in one or more of the following: Cloud development (AWS, Azure)
- Document storage technologies (AWS S3, Azure Blobs, Snowflake, SQL Server, Flat Files)
- Experience with Azure Devops/CICD
- Design solutions using standard architecture patterns with regard to naming standards, error handling, processing efficiencies, logging, notifications
- DIUP development and testing

- Very little or no travel required for this role
