About the role

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our EdPotential team and work alongside some of the most talented and creative professionals in the industry.

The EdPotential team is responsible for our school data analytics product, which is widely used to help improve student outcomes and save teachers time.

What you will do

  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud services across our tech stack. Our EdPotential product uses Java, GWT, and Terraform; but you can also expect to work in Python, SQL and other tooling as required. Experience in C#, TypeScript, and React could be beneficial.
  • Build product features in small increments through an iterative process and deliver them continuously to production.
  • Work closely within a small high performing team to solve customer problems at speed.
  • Collaborate and contribute to larger initiatives, technical improvements, and production operations.
  • Champion best practice data, security and development processes whilst making a beautiful product that customers love to use.

About you

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating cloud software at scale.
  • Experience working in a start up environment, working quickly & iteratively in a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a small cross-functional team.
  • Ability to make good decisions informed by product goals, domain knowledge and sound engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage risk, ambiguity and dependencies.
  • A growth mindset and a keen sense of ownership.
  • Experience with data pipeline tools and/or charting and reporting libraries would be a strong plus.
