The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Praos Health you will help lead the development of our workforce management platform to the delight of our clients and our users. Your work will be seen by thousands of people all over the world and will have an impact in the lives of many applicants in the healthcare industry.
This role is specifically catered toward architecting, developing, and maintaining our front-end platform in React and React Native. Praos is looking for a talented full-stack developer who has a plethora of experience developing front-end systems but isn’t afraid of stepping into the backend when the time arises.

Role Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the front end of the platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
- Mentor and support peers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture
- Own the front-end architecture and development, potentially leading a small team of engineers
- Oversee the migration of existing code from AngularJS to React, and continuously modernize the platform
- Implement new features to enhance the user experience and meet client needs
- Lead the development of robust testing suite
- Collaborate with the product team to breakdown large, complex, and sometimes ambiguous business objectives into smaller executable units of work
- Other related duties as needs arise and as assigned by your direct manager
Experience and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on front-end development
- Front End: Expertise in React and TypeScript
- Back End: Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, AWS Lambdas, and MongoDB
- Bonus Skills: Experience with React Native, Material UI, AngularJS, and mobile application deployment/maintenance, SCRUM, and Mongo Atlas preferred
- Previous experience in the healthcare or recruitment technology sector is a bonus
- Technical Lead experience is a bonus
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to lead technical discussions and effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing
Location
This is a fully remote position with occasional in-person meet-ups (2-4 times a year), with expenses covered by Praos Health.
