About the role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to a small, established team. We’re looking for someone with deep Kubernetes experience to play a vital role in migrating an AWS/AMI-based deployment to a Kubernetes/Docker-based deployment. You’ll also help the team build observability systems and tooling to support the evolution of our async, message-driven services running on Kubernetes/AWS. Our ideal candidate is an engineer with experience building and deploying services and a keen interest in advancing best practices around our devops approach to delivering software.
What you need to succeed in this role
● Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code (eg, Terraform)
● Significant experience with Kubernetes and a thorough understanding of how it works.
● Experience with Helm charts
● Backend development experience
● Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex microservices and monolithic applications
● Experience monitoring a complex platform
● Experience building automated workflows using scripting languages
What could set you apart
● Experience with Amazon EKS
● Solid experience with Prometheus and Grafana
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling, especially gitops/flux
● Experience with Kafka
