RESPONSIBILITIES
Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in IoT (Internet of Things) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) in maintaining its information technology (IT) enterprise infrastructure. This individual will have a background in Dev Ops concepts.
Remote role. Must be local to the DC Metro area.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining IoT systems.
- Lead the design and architecture of IoT systems to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate cutting-edge solutions for diverse IoT applications.
- Implement robust security measures to protect IoT devices and data.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and industry standards.
- Work with cloud platforms for IoT data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for efficient cloud deployment.
- Implement solutions for remote device management and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IoT system issues promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
- 5+ years of subject matter expertise with monitoring performance and throughput, setting baselines for acceptable performances standards while teams develop new solutions.
- Experience working in public and private clouds.
- Ability and readiness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.
- Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts.
- MCSE Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with major cloud providers preferred.
- ITIL Certification.
Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
