This position will support the business to ensure timely and accurate US tax compliance, minimizing risk and identification of tax savings opportunities. 

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION 

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax is required. CPA or a Masters in Tax is preferred, but not required. A combination of education and experience will be considered. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist US tax compliance in completion of federal, state and local tax returns including the estimated state tax payments and return-to-provision analysis 
  • Support US international tax analysis including the calculations of E&P, GILTI and BEAT 
  • Assist with the preparation of the ASC 740 tax provision calculation for the US companies with a focus on state implications 
  • Analyze and prepare monthly use tax, file and pay sales and use tax returns  
  • Research state tax issues and provide tax planning ideas, including but not limited to state tax nexus, sales/use tax issues, and property tax 
  • Assist with examinations/audits of the Group’s subsidiaries’ tax returns 
  • Maintain US tax calendar 
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in tax department processes 
  • Keep up to date on tax law changes and their impact on the organization 
  • Special projects, as assigned 

WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED 

The position requires experience with the following skills and characteristics: 

  • 2-4 years of corporate income tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 public accounting and/or a corporate tax department with a focus on state and local tax 
  • Well organized, goal oriented, and motivated 
  • Able to work at a fast pace and prioritize competing projects (focused) 
  • Proactive team player (collaboration and sharing), excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (solution-oriented), as well as some project management skills 
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel 
  • Knowledge of NetSuite Accounting Software, not required, but desirable 
  • Knowledge of OTP software tool, not required, but desirable

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$66,400 - $94,800 USD
