About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Accountant with a sharp mind, strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills to support our mission of evolving connected healthcare practices into the future. Responsible for preparing Tebra’s periodic financial reporting packages, the senior accountant will be an integral member of the Accounting team in a fast-paced, team-focused environment that provides many challenging opportunities in the development of one’s professional, financial, and analytical skills. The ability to understand more complex areas of accounting and a drive to enhance full-cycle accounting processes are essential for success in the role.
Your Area of Focus
- Period-end close activities: record recurring and non-recurring journal entries in compliance with GAAP; sub-ledger maintenance (e.g., AP, Fix Assets, Expenses etc..); and prepare reconciliations
- Day-to-day accounting activities: monitor & maintain compliance (e.g., GAAP, sales tax administration, liaise with 3rd party service providers as needed); prepare documentation (e.g., SOP refinement); support technical accounting research on unique transactions as needed
- Prepare monthly & quarterly financial statement package, including compilation and/or preparation of analytics (e.g., flux, KPIs)
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate across the organization with employees at all levels to support various short & long-term business initiatives as well as to ensure the timely, accurate and complete capture of all related transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform reviews of key accounting close deliverables within various high-risk business processes to ensure control objectives are met and documentation is sufficient.
- Participate in the financial audit and preparation of required audit support schedules
- Identify opportunities and propose solutions that can lead to more efficient and effective procedures
- Assist with other areas of accounting and complete special projects as needed
- Conduct and promote cross training between other roles and responsibilities within the finance department
Your Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A.) with a focus in Accounting
- CPA or CPA-candidate preferred
- 5+ years experience working with publicly traded clients or experience in public company accounting environment
- Experience performing or auditing the responsibilities of a month-end close process
- Self-starter; capability to act and operate independently, identify potential solutions to problems, and work collaboratively with peers and managers to accomplish objectives
- Confident, self-motivated, and diligent with strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize and execute many assignments in a quick and efficient manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication; including the ability to effectively document procedures performed and analysis of results
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Remote Pay Range
$99,000—$121,000 USD
