Who we’re looking for;
We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Writer who can provide clear and in-depth technical expertise to the customer success organization in communicating Graylog’s unique capabilities to the marketplace, partners, and customers.

This position can be based anywhere in the US and will report to the Technical Communications Manager.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Write with a mastery of ASE (American Standard English) and/or STE (Simplified Technical English).
- Utilize appropriate and accurate conventions in style, grammar, syntax, and punctuation according to standardized style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago).
- Produce use-case, tutorial, feature-focused, and configuration/stand-up documentation as part of an existing KB (knowledge database).
- Develop documentation through its lifecycle from initial draft to final deliverable.
- Convert source data (notes, spreadsheets, diagrams) into DITA CMS outputs.
- Leverage existing CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) documentation pipelines across version-controlled document libraries.
- Utilize site analytic data to analyze content gaps and plan documentation efforts required to meet the need.
- Evangelize best practices and processes for technical documentation across the organization.
- Establish relationships with engineering and customer success teams and interview SMEs in order to draft and revise content with minimal direction.
- Meet deadlines and report on progress while independently managing a schedule day-to-day.
- Collaborate productively as part of a supportive, cross-functional document team.
A Little bit about you;
- Experience with CMS (content management system) or CCMS (content component management system) document creation, revision, workflow, publication, etc.
- 5+ years of experience with content creation for experienced technical users (SecOps, ITOps, DevOps)
- Basic knowledge of HTML and Markdown
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands
- Some experience using developer tools like Git, GitHub, or JIRA
- Some experience with visual editors like Visio, Illustrator, etc.
- Experience with MadCap suite (Flare, Central, Capture) preferred
