The Performance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring and driving improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability of Ironclad software applications. You will work closely with development teams to identify and address performance issues, design and execute performance tests, and provide recommendations for optimizing application performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute performance tests using various tools and techniques to identify bottlenecks and performance issues
  • Responsible for end-to-end performance testing - performance testing strategy, requirements gathering, planning, test scenario design, scripting, execution, monitoring, results analysis and troubleshooting 
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement performance improvements in code, architecture and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze application performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimization
  • Develop and maintain performance testing frameworks, tools and performance test scripts.
  • Conduct performance analysis and tuning, participate in code reviews and provide performance-related feedback
  • Work with stakeholders to understand performance requirements and set performance targets
  • Proven skills in JMeter and/or other industry standard performance testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new technologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in performance engineering
  • Strong understanding of performance testing tools and techniques such as load testing, stress testing and chaos testing, capacity engineering.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of databases, applications, and infrastructure
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Java, Javascript or typescript.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools such as Datadog or NewRelic
  • Experience with requirement gathering, baseline monitoring, identifying and recommending performance monitoring KPIs and SLAs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Base Salary Range: $140,000-$252,000 per year

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate.
