The role:

Our company is seeking an experienced SEO writer for a temporary position. The SEO writer will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and informative content that is optimized for search engines and aligned with overall marketing goals. The successful candidate will have experience in using existing keyword research and SEO strategies to write content that can improve website traffic, search engine rankings, and overall online visibility. The SEO writer will work closely with our Head of SEO, our Product Marketing Team, and others to ensure that content is optimized for search engines and aligned with overall marketing goals.

About the team:

The Marketing Websites Team is a cross-functional team in the marketing organization that manages multiple web properties, including www.mozilla.org. We deliver web and digital experiences that tell the Mozilla story. The websites we build and maintain reach millions of users every month. We view our web properties as an extension of the Mozilla mission, and we strive to keep very high standards for security, accessibility, and compatibility.

As an SEO writer, you will:

  • Work with our Global Head of SEO to write content that executes against existing strategies and keyword research
  • Write high-quality, engaging, and informative content that incorporates relevant keywords and phrases for search engine optimization.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including our Global Head of SEO, to ensure that content aligns with overall marketing goals and is optimized for search engines.
  • Optimize existing website content, including blog posts, landing pages, and product pages, to improve search engine rankings and user engagement.
  • Develop content that meets the needs of the target audience and promotes engagement and conversions.

Professional profile & qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in writing SEO content writing.
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimization best practices and algorithms.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Familiarity with link building strategies and outreach techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to voice and writing guidelines.
