Job Description:

As a Junior SEO Content Writer, you will play a crucial role in driving organic traffic to Apptrove's Chinese website and WeChat account. You will collaborate closely with our SEO team to create high-quality, engaging content that is optimized for Chinese search engines like Baidu, Sogou, and Shenma.

Responsibilities:

  • WeChat Account Management:
  • Create engaging and informative WeChat content in Mandarin (Simplified) to attract and engage a Chinese audience.
  • Manage the company's WeChat account, including posting content, responding to comments, and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • SEO Assistance:
  • Assist the SEO team in optimizing the Apptrove China website for on-page and off-page SEO for Chinese search engines like Baidu, Sogou, and Shenma.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant search terms.
  • Optimize website elements such as titles, meta descriptions, headings, and URL structures. Implement link-building strategies in line with Chinese SEO best practices.
  • Ensure the website is technically optimized for the Chinese search engines, focusing on mobile-first indexing, site speed, and crawlability.
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics and KPIs to evaluate campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Competitor Research:
  • Conduct in-depth research on competitors in the Chinese mobile marketing industry.
  • Analyze their SEO strategies and content marketing efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to differentiate Apptrove and gain a competitive edge.
  • Content Proofreading:
  • Proofread and edit the website content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Check for grammatical errors, typos, and formatting issues.
  • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly content tailored to the Chinese audience and aligned with local culture, language, and preferences.
  • Technical SEO Knowledge:
  • Possess a basic understanding of technical SEO concepts, including site speed, mobile-friendliness, and XML sitemaps.
  • Work closely with developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all digital marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Should mandatorily be a Chinese native.

Qualifications:

  •  2-3 years of proven experience in SEO, with a strong focus on the Chinese market.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (Simplified) and English, both written and spoken.
  • Deep understanding of how Baidu and other Chinese search engines work, along with familiarity with the algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Experience with the WordPress content management system (CMS).
  • Familiarity with the Chinese internet landscape, consumer behavior, and digital platforms like WeChat, Weibo, and QQ.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of China's internet and SEO-related regulations and restrictions (e.g., the Great Firewall).
