ABOUT THE ROLE

The SEO Lead is responsible for developing and executing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies that help Fullstack Academy accelerate its organic growth. This includes conducting keyword research, optimizing website content and structure, building backlinks, and tracking and analyzing SEO performance. The SEO Lead will also work closely with other marketing team members to ensure that SEO is integrated into all aspects of the marketing mix.

The ideal candidate possesses a mix of quantitative and creative skills, and is an excellent communicator and collaborator. You should be comfortable finding narratives within large data sets to ultimately help us win over prospective learners while appeasing Googlebot.

This is a full-time, US-based remote role that will report to the Director of Performance Marketing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies that align with Fullstack Academy's overall marketing goals
  • Own the SEO content strategy roadmap in partnership with the Content Development team
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify target keyword concepts, map them to content opportunities, and prioritize content development based on a PIE framework
  • Work with the Web Development team and Performance Marketing team to improve the technical SEO of Fullstack Academy's website, including page speed optimization and schema implementation
  • Manage off-site SEO activities, owning link building and using data to inform the Marketing team’s content promotion and social media marketing (e.g. identifying guest posting and partnership opportunities)
  • Monitor and report on SEO performance across Fullstack Academy’s growing portfolio of websites
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and best practices in order to serve as subject matter expert for SEO within the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO
  • Experience with keyword research and content strategy development
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical
  • Experience with web analytics tools like GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and more
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a distributed team

Equal Pay For Equal Work Act disclosure:

The expected compensation for this role for candidates is $65,000-$90,000, plus benefits, for candidates who fulfill the qualifications for the role. Candidates whose qualifications are above those listed are encouraged to apply as well. All final offers to candidates will be based on that candidate's unique experience and skillset, and not all candidates will qualify for the top of the salary range.
