Slots Editor
Job description
While this is a remote position, the role is restricted to those physically located in Portugal or Malta.
The Slots Editor is an iGaming expert responsible for setting the editorial direction for SlotJava news, reviews, and commentary. The editor will drive our expansion into new content forms and will play a key role in developing the business proposition for our game studio partners. As a slots subject matter expert, the editor will also support the development of our Slots Library platform and refine our classification system to help players easily find new and interesting games.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide editorial direction on slot game and industry developments to our in-house content leads and our contingent of freelancers.
- Oversee production of new content forms such as streaming video programs showcasing live slots play at our preferred operator partners.
- Establish and meet benchmarks for building a comprehensive Slots Library.
- Help define our slots categorization system with an eye to enabling players to easily find the most appealing games.
- Assist sales organization in developing and maximizing SlotJava revenue streams.
Job requirements
Requirements:
- Significant interest in slot games, their development, the studios that build them, the players that play them, and the iGaming industry.
- Previous experience creating, editing, and managing content for online publishers; particularly audio/visual forms.
- Self-starting orientation with a track record of success in roles with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work using project management principles and tools.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual) within a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to align people and resources to achieve outcomes across teams and reporting lines.
- Inclination to independently complete tasks when necessary.
As "Slots Editor" you are expected to:
- Define and drive the Slots editorial strategy.
- Collaborate with content managers and creators to meet the agreed publishing calendar.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on the latest games, industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Develop relationships with game studios to obtain exclusive content.
