Social Media and Community Manager

Posted Apr 7

Tempo are leaders in the portfolio management space. After years of successful growth, we’re now setting our sights on rapid expansion, and our community is the cornerstone of our plans. This is where you come in.

We need a Social Media and Community Manager who will live and breathe our industry, understand our audience as well as anyone else in the business, and produce and publish content that captures and commands attention. Reporting into the Director of Content Strategy, and working closely with your marketing peers, you’ll own the social and community strategy, and help us reach new levels of growth.

The Role

  • Develop and execute a community focused social media strategy, increasing brand awareness and driving engagement with the Tempo community.
  • Manage multiple social media accounts with a particular focus on LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube. This is yours to own and drive on a daily basis.
  • Align with central brand marketing and growth marketing teams to ensure social media strategy supports wider business initiatives.
  • Repurpose and create your own original, high-quality content (e.g text, images, videos) that aligns with brand voice and goals and drives engagement and growth.
  • Analyze and report on social media performance, using metrics to inform and adjust strategy as needed in order to engage and grow the community.
  • Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages in a timely and professional manner while identifying opportunities for growth through engagement, and fostering a positive and engaged community.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and technologies, and evaluate new opportunities for the brand that can drive growth and enhance community building.
  • Plan and host community-building events and initiatives, such as social media contests, online discussions, and other events.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience managing social media for a tech brand with a track record of growth, and building and engaging online communities.
  • Creative thinker who is able to understand what makes our community tick, ensuring our social presence is authentic and fun!
  • Keen eye for detail, ensuring our message is consistent, without being dull.
  • Autonomous worker who is able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and adjust the social media strategy as needed.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics with a focus on measuring growth and community engagement.
  • Knowledge of best practices for social media, including current algorithms and policies with a focus on growth hacking techniques.

Nice to have

  • Passion for and (preferably) experience in the portfolio management space.
