Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure social media plans are integrated with other marketing initiatives and aligned with brand standards and guidelines
- Develop comprehensive social media plans that align with overall marketing and business objectives, outlining tactics, timelines, and performance metrics
- Engage with various audiences to create a plan to inform social media strategy
- Lead the use of social media for Truckstop in campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
- Lead all aspects of social media; channels, audiences, best practices, content development, community management, publishing, reporting/metrics
- Create compelling multi-format content, including copy, graphics, video, and audio, to grow the Truckstop audience, drive brand awareness, website traffic, lead generation, and e-commerce sales
- Monitor industry related conversations across the major social media networks to identify relevant content needs that help grow brand awareness and trust
- Utilize social media management and reporting tools, such as Sprout and native platform insights, to analyze, report, inform and make data-driven recommendations for Truckstop’s social strategy
- Identify, develop, and execute a strategy to tastefully engage with social media users within industry groups that positively contributes to conversations on topics important to the company, its customers, and prospects, partnering with subject matter experts as necessary
- Expand our reach by building and executing an employee advocacy program, serving as the thought leader and social selling subject matter expert for executives and key Truckstop staff
- Develop and execute a plan to scientifically determine which content performs best for each platform, and analyze, report and recommend a path forward to senior marketing staff
- Develop comprehensive social medial plans that align with overall marketing and business objectives, outlining tactics, timelines, and performance metrics
- Extend the life and engagement of our content by finding new and creative ways to repurpose, utilize and test industry best practices on different segments
- Partner with Digital Marketing to boost our paid media presence with top-performing organic posts in an effort to attract, engage, and convert buyer-ready website traffic
- Manage Truckstop’s collaboration with a social media agency, including budget, strategy and execution of our influencer program
- Collaborate with Marketing Operations to define and report on meaningful performance metrics that illustrate the impact of social content as it relates to lead generation and e-commerce sales
- Actively contribute to the overall Demand Gen and Content Team strategy, campaign planning, and execution
- Regularly report on performance and impact to senior marketing staff
- Stay up to date with emerging social media trends, channels and technology, and identify and continually test ideas to improve our social media strategies and tactics
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- At least 6 years’ of directly related experience in social media marketing
- Freight, transportation or logistics industry experience strongly desired
- Experience creating multi-format content for various social platforms using Adobe Express, Canva, or other equivalent software
- A deep understanding of channels, audiences, community management, best practices, employee activation and advocacy on social media
- Experience with the strategic intent of building branded social media channels, the value of social media to Truckstop’s business, and stakeholder engagement
- Experienced with social media analytics, reporting and performance and communicating insights that can optimize content
- Experience with designing, implementing, and presenting on audience and buyer persona research
- Prior experience in budget management is preferred, with the ability to develop, track, and manage budgets effectively
