Social Media Specialist, Campaigns

This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:
- Own the campaigns editorial calendar, overseeing scheduling & publishing content across all social channels for campaign content.
- Optimize social scheduling over time based on best times and any algorithm changes, sharing back-testing opportunities.
- Support on social media communication plans for brand activations including ownership of the social media campaign calendar. Understand social posting pacing based on business plans and trends.
- Own weekly share-outs of editorial calendar for visibility cross-functionally for campaign-specific work.
- Support in development of social first briefs and deliverables grids for creative teams based on program strategy, social media & audience insights for campaigns.
- Ideate social content and provide input and ideas that help move the brand forward in social.
- Support SMM’s with creative reviews, content + copy creation were relevant.
- Support on monthly and quarterly social media reporting, providing insights and implications about content performance, consumer audience/ behaviors on social, competitor insights & best in class industry examples which further help drive brand social media strategy and increase engagement.
- Support on post-campaign analysis recaps and ownership of always-on-channel documents including monthly, quarterly decks and contribution to cross-functional social team documents.
- Work closely with other marketing channel owners to deliver assets in a timely and organized fashion.
- Work with legal team to develop sweeps for campaign work.
- Track and report on trends and cultural moments, pitching ideas to keep our social channels relevant to the Internet landscape and our customer’s mindset.
- Identify campaign social media content for paid amplification.
- Content creation specifically text-based polls and questions on a campaign-specific basis.
- Work with the Community Engagement team to identify Campaign-specific FAQs and keep the team informed.
Must Haves (Required Skills):
- Skilled in Sprinklr (Publishing, Listening, Reporting).
- Skilled in Asana.
- Skilled in paid advertising across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter).
- Skilled in Social Media content creation and publishing.
- Works well cross-functionally.
- Able to support West Coast hours (PST)
