About The Role
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer (LATAM) to join our team! You will be part of the Upskilling team at Workera.
The Upskilling team is responsible for building a Learning Plan for our learners and customers, based on assessment results and target goals set up by admins and Managers. Our goal is to create an amazing experience following these principles:

🧠 Here’s what you’ll do:
- Understanding the needs of people managing the Workera platform.
- Reading, writing, and reviewing application code, focusing on writing maintainable code that is easy to understand.
- Communicating persuasively with peers to inspire cooperation.
- Building scalable and highly available systems that follow operational best practices.
- Build observable systems that we can learn from and continuously improve.
⚒️ We hope you have:
- 3+ years experience with software development with Python.
- Experience with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or similar.
- Experience building out APIs for front-end clients to consume.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
- 1+ years of experience working with a distributed team.
- Knowledge of testing principles.
- Excited to learn new languages and technologies for expanding your horizon.
