Software Systems Architect

VetsEZ is seeking a Software Systems Architect to support our hybrid team.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading or performing software design reviews
  • Collaborating with product owners, architects, and operations to define solutions
  • Setting wide-reaching project guidelines, developing and providing detailed specifications
  • Designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex software while developing new functionality and enhancing existing functionality
  • Designing, configuring, operating, and performing maintenance on networking and computer systems, including hardware, software, web portals, internet and intranet connections, firewalls, servers, and security
  • Overseeing a team of programmers to create new company software and program features.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information technology and/or Federal Government contracting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of modern software development.
  • Chief Architect or Senior Engineer on a DICOM medical imaging production system
  • Experience as a Software Engineer for at least VA VistA project.
  • Conducts workflow analysis, technology assessments, and business-related studies to define business case plans and architecture strategies supporting long term sustainability and growth.
  • The expert provides guidance and strategy for adoption of new technology products and processes optimizing developer, customer, and end-user experience.
  • DICOM domain knowledge.
  • Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) domain knowledge

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
