Specialist, W2 Payroll

We are looking for a Specialist, W2 Payroll to work with Wonolo’s Service Innovation and Enablement team. You will be employed by a third-party legal entity authorized to do business in the location in which you reside and you will provide contractual services to Wonolo’s Service Innovation and Enablement team. As a Specialist on the W2 Payroll team (within Service Innovation), you will be at the forefront of Wonolo’s W2 operations by supporting and executing worker payroll workflows. Accuracy and speed of execution are critical due to the weekly nature of W2 payroll processing. The team’s area of expertise lies in complex programs to support Wonoloers in the marketplace. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effortlessly, providing sufficient support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

What you'll do:
- Become an expert on W2 payroll, the Wonoloer experience, and processes that support W2 workers
- Become an expert with Zeal, our W2 payment platform, and drive improvements to our SLAs with rapid execution
- Ensure all data is accurate when onboarding/adding workers into the payroll system
- Validate payroll hours,performs time reconciliation and analyze payroll entries to ensure payroll is accurately completed every Wednesday for all W2 workers
- Contact workers over email & SMS to verify meal breaks
- Process bonuses, manage sick leave, and handle other payroll-related adjustments
- Report bugs and help coordinate solutions with stakeholders across Tech, Service Operations, and Enablement, Finance and Central Ops
- Respond promptly to payroll support inquiries or discrepancies flagged by other departments, ensuring that the information provided is accurate
- Collaborate with the team to set goals for ongoing efficiency and process quality improvements
- Promote strong team morale and conduct, including high engagement levels and schedule adherence
- Perform other duties to support W2 operations as assigned
