We are looking for a creative self-starter to fill the role of Senior Brand Designer in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. We're looking for an individual who is passionate about creating visual imagery and visual storytelling, to support the marketing and branding campaigns of our brands. The ability to create beautiful and compelling digital content that is on brand is essential. This role requires someone who is not only proficient in the tools of the trade, but who has the mindset to get in the trenches with our team to help us bring brand visions to life.
The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio of visual work, excellent digital design skills, and a strong understanding of social media platforms. They must also have a deep understanding of design principles and the ability to take concepts and create scalable design systems. Because Engaging is a remote company, the individual should also be able to work well with a team and have a positive, collaborative attitude. This candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple tasks at once, and exercise creative vision. You will learn from successful and seasoned designers and product marketers and learn what it takes to launch design-centric brands with a vision.

Job Details:
- Senior Designer (WFH)
- Eastwood Libis, QC
- Monday to Friday | 4 AM to 1 PM
Responsibilities:
- Develop design ideas and recommendations for projects based on expertise, experience and industry design audits.
- Perform industry design audits to understand current technologies and design components to drive to increased user engagement, web adoption and usage.
- Investigates new technologies, trends, and frameworks to ensure our brands' digital presence is built consistently using the best visual assets.
- Recommend design approach to achieve project goals and create optimal user experience.
- Review designs, wireframes, and concepts provided by junior designers in the company and provide detailed feedback based on the needs of the project.
- Ensure all design styles and guidelines are adhered to with all design and development work.
- Create wireframes, full-color comps and prototypes of digital designs for review and analysis.
- Recommend design approach for images, icons, photographs and other digital assets that are part of websites, social sites, emails and other digital platforms.
- Understand digital usage analytics and how data can impact new designs and future design approaches.
- Participate and often lead design reviews with key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the internal design and development team to determine the best design and user interface approach for projects.
- Manage project work effectively and prioritizes work to ensure timelines are met and work is validated and tested appropriately.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Brand Designer or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- Experience managing teams of designers and content managers
- Experience in Adobe programs, PowerPoint, Content Management Systems (CMS) and Shopify is required
- Knowledgeable in design principles, graphic design layout, type, color and print production.
- Experience in marketing, social media content management, print and digital design with a good knowledge of brand development
- Experience with brand development for an e-commerce platform
- Outstanding graphic skills to create innovative client presentations
- Typographic sensibilities and the ability to typeset content that follows typographic rules
- Understanding of design restrictions and requirements for all social media platforms
- Curious, creative thinker who loves to collaborate and solve complex problems
- Flexible to focus on multiple projects in various stages of development
- Ability to communicate design ideas and change direction quickly
- Strong work ethic, leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
