Project Description
A Senior DevOps Engineer is a critical resource working across teams to deploy and manage our AWS Cloud Infrastructure for our products. Working collaboratively across teams, you will have the opportunity to build a platform for our business.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and support production environments with tenacity and a sense of urgency, ensuring that the systems are accessible and available to internal and external customers.
- Operate, maintain, and support development environments.
- Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for delivering features, fixes and system updates in development, integration and production environments with proper gates allowing development teams to safely migrate their applications through all environments and into production independently.
- Define and implement software development, infrastructure and security standards.
- Provide thought leadership related to cloud native software development patterns.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, determine root causes for the issues that are reported and resolve with expediency based on impact.
Must have
- Bachelors in computer science, Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years or more of experience.
- 8+ years of experience with Linux (installing, supporting, troubleshooting).
- 5+ years of experience with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with CI/CD, building and supporting pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes (creating and supporting clusters) and Docker.
Nice to have
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Experience with New Relic.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault.
- Using/Building RESTful APIs.
- Experience in implementing security best practices.
