Deputy is looking for an experienced Sr. Director, Business Transformation to join our Revenue Operations and Strategy team. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this role is instrumental in driving transformation and change management across the global organization, across all revenue generating and customer facing functions. They will lead systems, tools and processes strategy, as well as optimization. Furthermore, they should be a culture champion, while driving adoption and utilization of our existing tools and processes, to drive growth, cohesion and execution across the company. The scope of Business Transformation is broad, cross functional and throughout all levels of the organization and required to define priority opportunities with a high level of organizational impact within manageable levels of investment that generates an optimal return on investment.

The Senior Director of Global Business Transformation is responsible for forming collaboration and innovation frameworks to set strategy and initiatives of business process, digital, technology and organizational transformation to drive organizational value optimization, efficiency, effectiveness and optimization. This includes leading collaboration, change management, innovation and adoption for successful business transformation initiatives within the various functions (e.g., sales, support), or geographies globally (e.g., EMEA, AMER, AUS). Collaboration is critical to ensure transformation initiatives generate positive impact and change is supported with adequate capacity and capability. This role will also be required to successfully build credible partnerships across business functions, stakeholders and teams to achieve intended value propositions of strategic initiatives.

Business Transformation Responsibilities:

  • Lead business transformation initiatives to drive operational excellence, process improvement and cost optimization.
  • Leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving business performance and driving organizational change in support of revenue- and customer-facing organizations.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Understand the depth and breadth of internal organizational functions and processes but also scan external ecosystems to identify current technology, resources or vendors that are viable partners to compliment, innovate and add value to strategic initiatives.
  • Champion best practices and ensure that the scope, business case, goals, and success metrics for projects are well-defined, understood, measured, and reported.
  • Ensure adoption of standards and procedures governing the practice of program and project management and the execution of the project portfolio.
  • Complete comprehensive audit and ensure team members have the right tools, business processes and support available at the right time and place to be able to do their jobs effectively with minimal, efficient non-program business functions, e.g. sales, support team, etc.
  • Liaise with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the business.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and continuous improvement sessions; ensure lessons and recommendations are incorporated.
  • Lead the process design of the current state, capture pain points, define future state, and business requirements (BRD)/user stories for new capabilities as well as enhancements.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, identify gaps, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and drive decision-making.
  • Develop and manage processes to identify any areas of opportunity and potential hurdles supporting the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap of process improvement opportunities including statements of work and resource allocations required to manage project workload demands.
  • Work with Business stakeholders and supporting teams to assess business requests, evaluating their potential effectiveness.
  • Set strategy and lead internal communications. Lead change management activities, communication planning, and feedback loop efforts pre-and-post project deploymentsManage and communicate with senior stakeholders, act as the connective tissue of a large cross-functional team, working to share knowledge and drive towards a common goal.

Program & Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Develop and train a growing team of program & project management professionals.
  • Drive program and project management for initiatives developing strategic plans, assembling cross functional resourcing, engaging with external vendors as necessary, managing communications and change management plans, building complex project plans and executing with low cost, efficiency and high adoption and success.
  • Lead and maintain cross functional standards, and guidelines for program management building a rolling portfolio and roadmap of projects.
  • Establish and maintain necessary processes, solutions, measurements, reporting, and escalations to ensure successful intake, prioritization and delivery of programs and projects.

Team Development and Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work within the context of cross functional teams supporting initiatives from sales, operations, pricing, analytics and enablement.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement and innovation that values learning, improvement and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • 12+ years of cross-functional, operational leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • MBA preferredBroad, enterprise-wide view of the business and appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Experience managing large, enterprise-wide projects involving cross-functional teams across many areas and levels of an organization
  • Strategically minded yet also operationally oriented, and highly collaborative
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills to drive organizational change
  • Experience in operations with knowledge or expertise in finance, sales, customer support, data analytics, operations and administrative functions.
  • Proven track record of success implementing business transformation and digital initiatives enterprise-wide.
  • Strong, positive track-record of innovation and collaboration – able to work with diverse teams in diverse locations, engaging their input and commitment to success.
  • High level of organization, managing risk and decision-making skills working in a fast-paced work environment.A systematic approach to work maintaining accountability, plans and demonstrations of success.
  • History of developing and mentoring teams and communicating vision to peers and executive leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, oral and listening.
  • Ability to speak in public settings and / or large audiences.
  • Experience in remotely managing teams in a global setting.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative, innovative and agile with the ability to think outside the box.

The pay range for this position takes into account multiple factors that are all considered to determine an individual candidate’s starting pay. These factors include but are not limited to: market factors, experience, technical and non-technical skills, education, certifications, and other business acumen. This range does not include any potential incentive programs, such as individual or organizational performance bonuses. 

For candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is $231,420 - $247,380.

For candidates based outside San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is $180,307 - $192,472.
