Sr. Finance Analyst, Finance Decision

An immediate need exists for a Senior Finance Analyst within Finance Decision Support at Lumen. This position will be primarily responsible for the coordination of business case development / reporting / tracking and facilitating the linkage of business case financials to the companies short and long-term targets by working with Business Unit (BU) Finance Leads, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and the Value Identification Acceleration (VIA) team. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining company official financial models, corporate governance policies and presentation templates as well as assisting with other strategic financial and/or business case analysis and reporting.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Manage business case development, reporting and tracking for linkage into the plan of record and for use during business case after action reviews.
  • Work with business unit owners to identify and critically analyze business case assumptions, demand forecasts and timing for financial linkage into the plan of record.
  • Complete financial analysis and reporting activities, validating work and ensuring accuracy of results.
  • Present results of financial analysis and reporting to all levels of management.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, MS Access. Knowledge of Anaplan and BI reporting is a plus
  • Understanding of standard financial statements (e.g. income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows) and financial return metrics (e.g. NPV, IRR, Payback, etc.)
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
  • Good analytical/inquisitive thinking skills a must, with the ability to effectively summarize and communicate conclusions (via oral or written).
  • Detail oriented and thoroughly reviews work to ensure accuracy of results/analysis produced.
  • Able to work with little supervision and a sense of urgency.
  • General analytical experience and root cause analysis.
  • Financial reporting and modeling experience (intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with various company groups (sales, marketing, network services)
  • Experience balancing multiple projects and/or requests at the same time
  • Executive level presentation development and interaction with executives
  • Project management experience
  • Business case development experience preferred.

Salary Max : 128400

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
