Sr. Global Campaign Strategist
This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Help fuel global growth and drive transformation in demand generation at Calix. The campaign strategist will be responsible driving end-to-end campaign design, implementation, and optimization. They will work closely product marketing, sales to create campaigns to define objectives in an ever-expanding list of countries, understand and inform buyer personas, and create campaigns that exceed business objectives.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about customer acquisition and data-driven marketing and who wants to discover and optimize new ways to engage with customers and prospects in new markets. This person may also drive new pilots, programs, and learning initiatives for the wider demand generation and marketing team. Responsibilities and Duties:
Set the overall global demand generation strategy for the business.
Execute our strategy, positioning the company as the leading SaaS platform in the telecom industry.
Develop innovative online and offline marketing strategies to support Calix’s global revenue goals.
Develop relationships with SMEs in various sectors to assist in building a compelling, consistent value proposition for our customers.
Proactive engagement internally with Sales and other teams within the business, to ensure delivery of value proposition for each customer.
Help build an effective marketing automation infrastructure.
Work with key internal stakeholders to develop email and webinar campaign plans and own end-to-end execution.
Lead communication on internal email campaign execution.
Develop insight and action plans, lead updates with stakeholders and executives.
Project manage campaign development and execution across marketing, sales, operations, and other key contributing team members.
Develop and deepen understanding of buyer persona and continuously evolve insight into how those buyers use email and webinar channels.
Provide channel expertise in at least one area, with the expectation that baseline knowledge of all channels well be acquired.
Own implementation and tracking in key measurement and marketing automation tools such as Pardot and TaskRay.
Keep up to date with marketing and campaign best practices; communicate implications for campaigns and channel efforts.
Develop best practices, upskill team members, and identify new and innovative ways to create impact.
Participate in campaign ideation brainstorms.
Participate in team learning and strategy documentation.
Qualifications:
Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or equivalent work experience.
5+ years demand generation and campaign planning for telecom and B2B solutions; product marketing experience a plus.
Experience working closely with sales, product marketing, and content marketing.
Proficient in marketing and analytic tools - especially the Salesforce suite.
Strong project management skills, preferably in demand generation.
Understand the concept of a buyer's journey with marketing content and channels for each stage.
Strong individual contributor with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
Team Orientation - Willingness and ability to work in close collaboration with others to reach goals, and subordinate personnel agendas and recognize team performance.
Ability to see the big picture as well as strong attention to detail.
Ability to learn what makes the demand generation engine hum—and discover ways to make it run faster, better, stronger.
Ability to work smart under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously in a fast paced environment where tight deadlines and unexpected complexities can crop up.
Flexible work schedules and the willingness to travel (including potential evening, weekend and holiday work).
