The Role

The Senior Lead Product Manager for Lumen Cloud Application Manager (the Platform) is responsible for executing the overall strategy for the Platform by driving product development and leading the evolution of the Platform experience, as well as, growing revenue through the resale of Microsoft Azure.

The Sr. Lead Product Manager must develop and maintain a high level of collaboration with key stakeholders like, Lumen’s Center of Excellence team, Lumen Alliance Manager, and Sellers to design and build marketing campaigns and platform services to drive revenue, product innovation and efficiencies in our business. This position will also be responsible for co-managing the sales funnel, growing revenue and customer count, and training Sales.

The Main Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Create the Cloud Application Manager Platform strategy and roadmap.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Customer Experience, Alliance, and Center of Excellence teams to define the customer needs, wants, and challenges to be solved by Platform services.
  • Own execution of the Platform roadmap and collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, software engineers, and business operations to ensure the team delivers business goals.

Customer Experience:

  • Work with the Customer Experience team to define and design the customer learn, buy, get, use, pay and renew experience.
  • Continuously research, test, and refine customer experience
  • Lead customer research to understand desired experiences and pain points

Platform Development:

  • Lead the implementation of new features from ideation to release, including writing Capabilities for product development, co-author KB articles, train sales and operations.
  • Ensure release goals and commitments are understood by all affected teams.
  • Communicate the development progress to the executive and leadership teams
  • Be the customer advocate, continuously looking at the services from an end-user’s perspective; driving the complete experience, to the best outcome possible for the end-user.
  • Ensure the customer experience is represented as a top priority throughout all stages of development.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of the platform, ensure all aspects of the platform receive attention, including technical debt , as well as new features.
  • Work closely with the engineering team on implementation, to ensure that the product meets the specified requirements and create success metrics
  • Perform platform capability enhancement demos for internal teams

Azure Resale:

  • Responsible for growing Azure resale revenue YoY by collaborating with marketing to create targeted campaigns, and create sales enablement material for Lumen sellers.
  • Participate in Azure Sales Funnel meetings to track revenue opportunities and identify ways to help sellers win the deal.
  • Collaborate with Lumen Alliance Manager to secure Azure MSP certification year over year.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 3+ years working with cloud services
  • Experience in working with SAFe Agile development
  • Collaborative team player, with empathy for clients and colleagues
  • Self-starter, who can proactively identify and solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with sales funnel management, supporting sales, and co-creating marketing campaigns.
  • Sales experience is a bonus

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
